It felt like forever since I put this book 📚 on my wish list back last September and then finally, it was here and already, it's over. MAKE THEM PAY was incredible! How could it not be? You take a brilliant author and have her put most of the Rogens and a bunch of Kincaids in one book and it's explosive.

As always, the character development is deep and well done. I feel like I've known Lucy since she was a kid and now, it's time for her wedding. Bravo to Allison Brennan for making strong characters who still have weaknesses, vulnerabilities and evidence of trauma rather than unrealistic superheroes. This may have been my favorite in the series yet. Time to wait again for the next book and wish that I were a Rogen or Kincaid (or Kincaid-Rogen).

I've read several of Allison Brennan' s books in this series. She's a solid author, and I can rely on her thrillers for a fast-paced enjoyable read. I will continue to loo for her boos when I'm in the mood for a good, enjoyable fiction novel.
For sure!!! Really enjoyed this Lucy Kincaid novel. Allison Brennan is really good at telling a story with a whole gamut of everything from love to suspense to the giggles. I read every novel I see with her name on it. I say "keep up the good work" and I'll keep reading.
Lots of great action, danger, suspense as well as good times. I love the Lucy Kinkade series! When you are reading this book, you always think, Ok after I finish this page I have to get busy, then it's, I this chapter e almost done Jan finish it, it in the end industries drawing you in farther. That's what a good author can do!
We finally meet the twin Rogans in this story and wow they fell way far from the apple tree. The story
Is fast paced, but somewhat predictable in terms of who is the villain, what goes wrong, etc. Noah’s story took an interesting turn and I can’t wait to see how that plays out. I love Kane’s role and outcome in this book. He and Jack are still two of my favorites in this series and after this story I think that even more!
I was hooked on this author when I read the first book in this series. Lucy and Sean are amazing, and they have some amazing siblings...the exceptions being Liam and Eden. Each book is thought provoking, edge of your seat reading. Jack Kincaid and Kane Rogan play a big part in this story...as does Noah, Lucy's FBI boss. It will be interesting to see what choice Noah makes in regard to his future.
In addition to all the twists and turns, I have to admit reading about Lucy and Sean's wedding was so cool. I am looking forward to the next Lucy and Sean story.
Allison Brennan continues to daze and amaze me with every book she writes and the Lucy Kincaid novels are among my favorites. Intriguing characters and interwoven plots full of twists and turns that will keep you turning pages until the wee hours of the morning to see what comes next. Brennan is responsible for untold hours of reading pleasure and I can't wait for her next book which she lets you peek into at the end of this book - and I'm already hooked! Read one of her books and you'll be going back for more and lucky you because her list of books is long and there's nothing like discovering a new author with multiple books already written. ENJOY!!!

Wow, just wow is all I can say after reading the latest in the Lucy Kincaid series. MAKE THEM PAY is a wild ride from start to finish and the reader better hang on to their hays because this time the stakes are even higher than before. I absolutely adore this series by Ms. Brennan. We get complex cases to be solved, characters that grow with each book and the writing is just so good that you cannot put the books down at all. In this new book in the series, we are finally just days from the Kincaid/Rogan wedding when disaster hits. From Sean’s newfound son breaking rules left and right to his estranged sister showing up under the pretense that she is here for the wedding, the reader is drawn into the story as Lucy, Sean and their friends/family are assaulted on all sides. Add in wedding jitters, fallout from the black-market case they just solved a month ago and more and the reader is treated to a story that will take them on an unexpected journey and tear their heart out, stomp all over it then put it back in. It’s definitely one story that you need to have read the past book, The Lost Girls, in order to understand the ramification of the past events mentioned in MAKE THEM PAY.

MAKE THEM PAY is a tightly written thriller that has unexpected twists and turns that will leave you gasping even as you race to the next page to see what happens next for the characters. Ms. Brenan does an amazing job in capturing her characters hidden nuances and vulnerabilities even as the story weaves its spell around you. I just adore all the main characters and love how Lucy as a person just grew and healed up after her past caused her to close herself off to others. Sean is a big part of that healing and he gives her the security she needs to open her heart up to him even as she does the same to him. The secondary characters are just as well written as the main characters and keep the story moving along nicely. I especially love SSA Noah Armstrong who has a hidden history with Eden Rogan that was intriguing to say the least. Ms. Brennan delivers a wonderful story that will thrill you then chill you to the bone even as it steals your heart. If you haven’t tried this series yet, I highly recommend it and make sure to start at the beginning with The Prey and going from there. I look forward to seeing where the author goes with Lucy, Sean and the gang even as the cases get more complex and deadly.
