The short story tells a lot in a quick time. It's about a family whose son is being bullied at school. The parents don't know what to do, and the young boy refuses to tell the principal because he's afraid it will just make it worse. After the young boy comes home, yet again, having been beaten up by the bully, the father goes for a walk to think things over and talk to God. He finds himself in front of the young bully's home. What unfolds before his eyes explains why the young bully has been reacting out against others. It helps the father see the boy through God's eyes. I won't reveal the ending, but it will put teardrops in your eyes and soften your heart. You'll begin to wonder how God sees others. A very good, short read!

Lots of thought put into the message. Makes you think! Plot kept me wondering where the story would go. Unexpected journey!
Amazingly powerful short story is all I can say. Being a fellow writer of inspirational fiction stories (Sandwich Shop Miracle), I love it when I can read a piece of work that can deliver a strong, positive message without a ton of fluff.

As someone who was picked on as a kid, this story had a particularly strong impact on me. It made me think about that time in a different light. When a book can make you take a look at your life and your perception of things, that's when you know it is a rare gem.

This story truly moved me. Awesome work Mr. Hibbard!
I liked that the family struggled with unanswered prayer because that is real. The mom did cry s bit too much for my tastes. I found it interesting that the parents didn't have names. Reminded me of Peanuts by Charles Schultz in that aspect. Good story. Would be interesting to have Billy be from a family of equal or higher financial means. That would shift things to a whole different level with Johhny's dad having to take a different approach internally and materially. Just thinking.
A good, quick and easy read. I would encourage anyone to read it. Good job, Mr. Hibbard. It also shows a good example of why some children act out.
This was a very very short book but the message behind it will DEFINITELY stay in your mind
long after you read it.=) I really really enjoyed this book. It kind of reminds you how we can quickly lose
track of our faith and forget all about the small things in life. I tell you, a simple act of kindness can take you a long long way.
I thank the author for writing this book and I would love to read many many more like it.=)

This is the second short story I've read from this author and it seems he likes to give readers something to really think about for a while. This one was about the bullying of a young boy written from the victim's father's perspective. It's a well-written Christian short story with no grammatical or punctuation errors that I could find. Give it a try. I'm currently reading his Terreldor series also. It's more geared for young adults but it contains the same moral lessons as his short stories do. I recommend this author to my blog audience.
